Nitmiluk Gorge features some of the most stunning gorge scenery in the Northern Territory. The Gorge system winds along 12km of sheer rock more than 70m high. Consisting of 13 separate gorges, Nitmiluk Gorge is a maze of waterways sculpted from the sandstone over countless millennia by the Katherine River. You will be mesmerised by ageing waterfalls in the wet season, a myriad of wildlife and simply breathtaking views of the Jawoyn country.

Board your Nitmiluk Tours vessel at the Nitmiluk National Park boat jetty, a 400 metre walk from the Nitmiluk Centre at Katherine Gorge (a 32 kilometre drive from Katherine) to commence a Nit Nit Dreaming Cultural Cruise.
On the Nit Nit dreaming Katheine Gorge cruise you will discover the cultural significance of the first 2 gorges to the traiditonal landowners of this region- the Jawoyn people.
Cruising the amazing Katherine Gorge you'll gain a fascinating insight into the culture and customs of the Jawoyn people. Surrounded by the sheer rock walls of the gorge, you won't believe the altering fractures and immense size of this natural attraction.
The cruise also enjoys a 400m walk (each way) through the Nitmiluk National Park.
You will be enlightened by the history and traditions of the Indigenous inhabitants.
The Fine Print

Note there are steps and walks (uneven & natural man made paths) of approximately 400m each way
There is also a 500 metre walk between the First and the Second Gorge along a man-made, uneven path.
Those with mobility issues are welcome to stay at the crossover; otherwise we do not recommend participating on this tour.
Carry bottled water & wear a hat and sun screen whilst exploring Nitmiluk National Park.
Please wear appropriate footwear and always be aware of your surroundings.
There are no entry fees for the Nitmiluk National Park.
Cold water and toilets are available on board the boat.
