The Itinerary

After boarding your bus with your knowledgeable guide, your Barossa Valley day trip from Adelaide starts with the drive out of the city, following a scenic route that takes you along the River Torrens and through Torrens Gorge. When you’ve been on the road for about an hour, make a stop at Seppeltsfield Winery, which dates back to 1851 and is home to 250 acres (100 hectares) of vineyards covered with Barossa Valley’s traditional grapes, grenache and shiraz. We head to a multiple award winning wine at Wolf Blass. You will learn the art of winemaking on a guided tour and have a tutored wine tasting of their Gold Label and their Black Label wines. Wolf Blass is where you will indulge on a 2-course lunch along with an exclusive tasting preview of Penfolds wine.  Then say goodbye to the Barossa Valley as you return to your bus for the drive to Hahndorf, a quaint town in the Adelaide Hills and the oldest surviving German settlement in the country. Hop off the bus to walk around, taking in the century-old elm trees, charming cottages, shops and tea rooms. Your tour ends with the return drive to Adelaide, traveling through the lush hills and villages like Stirling and Bridgewater before you arrive back in the city in the evening.
